Position Summary:
The Department of Nutrition at Texas A&M University invites applications for a Lecturer position for the spring semester of 2022. The position is a temporary appointment for the spring semester only and is located at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. A completed M.S. or Ph.D. in nutrition or a related discipline is required. Successful candidates will possess a strong pedagogical background for inclusive and equitable teaching in nutrition and effective communication skills as it applies to instructional activities and outreach.
 
The responsibilities for this position are to:
1) teach sections of the undergraduate nutrition courses, Fundamentals of Nutrition,
Nutrition and Physiological Chemistry Senior Seminar to and/or other nutrition course(s), as assigned and 2) and other administrative duties as assigned.
 
Administrative Relationship
The faculty position as Lecturer will carry a 90% teaching appointment and 10% service within the Department of Nutrition (http://nutrition.tamu.edu) in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and Sciences and the position will be located on the College Station campus.

The Department of Nutrition offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in nutrition. Our programs prepare future leaders for a variety of professional positions, including academic, industry and government positions through rigorous didactic programs, internships, and experiential learning activities. Research programs and scholarly activities of departmental faculty focus on nutrition education and diet-related chronic diseases (such as dementia/Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and heart disease).
