Position Summary:
Led by WNC, Open Technology Ecosystem for Agricultural Management (OpenTEAM) is a dynamic, community-driven, farmer-focused initiative that has co-designed and built a free and open source digital equity toolkit that provides a framework for universal access to agricultural knowledge that is responsive to the needs of producers, purchasers, governments and markets. The initiative is cultivating a community that is creating an interoperable technology system and developing new ways of collaborating to provide food systems leaders with the best possible knowledge to combat climate change and improve soil health. OpenTEAM serves as a technology steward, convener, and technical facilitator that supports a strong community and technology ecosystem for improving soil health.
As the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing the growing and complex network of relationships between Wolfe’s Neck Center, OpenTEAM, contractors, sub-awardees, and grantees. This is a new role at the organization, and the hire will provide pivotal support in creating and maintaining grants and agreements that will provide clarity in roles, responsibilities and obligations. This job will also be critical in creating a management and accountability system that will ensure quality assurance, compliance, consistent reporting, and accuracy across our various projects.
The Contracts Manager will work closely with internal staff and external partners. You will provide guidance to programmatic staff and external partners on contract requirements and collaboratively build a system for tracking those requirements and ensuring they are fulfilled. A successful candidate will be detail oriented, have good communications skills and a background in contract administration, a passion for creating seamless and simple processes accessible to all stakeholders, and be driven to help a growing organization as they work towards advancing agriculture’s ability to become a solution to climate change.
