Frequently Asked Questions

What is Collegiate MANRRS membership?

Collegiate MANRRS membership tier consists of the college-level members of MANRRS (Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences). It’s a community of students working together to create a more diverse, inclusive future in STEM-related fields while building leadership skills and opening doors to career opportunities.

Who can join?

Any undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a college or university, regardless of their major. If you’re interested in leadership, community or careers that make a difference, MANRRS is for you.

Can I join if I’m enrolled in community college?

Absolutely, MANRRS is open to undergraduate students enrolled in community colleges or four-year colleges and universities.

Why should I join?

Because your voice matters, and your future deserves the proper support. As a member, you will be preparing for your career while becoming part of a movement to shape a better, more equitable future in agriculture and beyond.

What will I do as a member?

You’ll take part in hands-on workshops, leadership training, career prep, service projects, networking events and national conferences that put you face-to-face with top employers and changemakers.

How does a Collegiate MANRRS membership help with educational goals and future careers?

We connect you with scholarships, internships, grad programs and mentors  plus real-world experience that gives you a head start in your field. Whether you're exploring options or ready to launch, we help you grow.

How does agriculture relate to me or my future career?

Agriculture isn’t just about farms! It’s the reason why we have food, fashion, fuel, technology, and the future of the planet. It’s how we feed people, protect the environment, and solve big problems like climate change and hunger.

Think about it:

  • Who designs eco-friendly ways to grow food in cities?
  • Who creates the science behind plant-based meat?
  • Who builds drones to monitor wildfires or protect crops?
  • Who works to make sure everyone has access to clean water?

Professionals in agriculture, natural resources, and related sciences do all of that (and more). That means you can be part of real-world change.

Why Should I Care?

Because this is about your future, your community, and the planet. You don’t have to know what you want to be yet. Junior MANRRS helps you explore your options, grow your skills, and realize that your ideas and your leadership are needed now. You’ll get to be part of something bigger, and you’ll learn how to use your talents to shape the future.
