Professional chapters are region-specific and composed of professional MANRRS members seeking to connect with other professional members locally.
As a member of the National Society for Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS) professional chapter, you will have the opportunity to advance professionally while leading the future generation of MANRRS.
We are looking for industry professionals with a vital interest in promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in agriculture, natural resources, and related sciences. Professional chapters are inclusive of active (financial) MANRRS professional members who reside or have a professional affiliation to the geographic area where a professional chapter is located. If a professional chapter is not available in your area, you are encouraged to request one be chartered in your area. Simply follow the provided instructions.
Failure to meet these requirements may result in the denial of the charter application unless an exception has been granted by the Executive Board of the National Society of MANRRS.
Verify all charter members have active, financial MANRRS professional memberships by emailing alumni.cmte@manrrs.org. If anyone is not active, they must register to become a chapter member.
Establish a minimum of ten active members inclusive of an executive committee:
Ensure all members are in good standing (i.e. have an active/financial professional membership) with the National Society of MANRRS.
Ensure your chapter is inclusive of MANRRS alumni and non-alumni professionals from industry, government, academia, non-profit, and the like.
Verify members are not an affiliate of an academic institution, company, or organization. As stated, professional chapters are specific to geographic locations.
Pay the chapter fee of $125 within 30 days of being invoiced by the MANRRS National Office.
