The Office Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of office activities in support of the Southern Resource Office and the North Carolina Field Office, which are co-located in Durham, NC.  They will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating logistics for special events and/or meetings.  The Coordinator will also maintain office equipment individually or through vendor contracts, purchase appropriate supplies as necessary, and ensure daily office maintenance.  As part of managing the facility, this position will be the main point of contact with the building management.  Working with the Director of Operations, the Office Coordinator updates and implements emergency and safety plans, participates on the safety committee, and conducts annual training for staff. Financial responsibilities include preparation of expense reports, payment of vendors in collaboration with the Finance/Accounting Specialist, and monitoring internal occupancy.  General office duties are also required, including but not limited to mailings, telephone inquiries, kitchen maintenance, email distribution lists and assisting with program materials and correspondence. The Coordinator will work cooperatively with Conservancy staff, providing information necessary to make decisions and solve problems. They may communicate on behalf of their supervisor with internal and external sources, including staff, vendors, and businesses in order to coordinate arrangements, convey information, and ensure successful execution of program.

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-year experience or equivalent combination.
  • Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading.
  • Experience organizing time and managing diverse activities to meet deadlines.
  • Experience performing one or more administrative processes.
  • Experience working and communicating with a wide range of people.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office tools and meeting collaboration tools.
