Students in grades 6-12 who are curious about science, sustainability, the environment, food systems, or making a real-world impact through leadership are welcome to join. No experience necessary, just bring your curiosity and commitment!

You’ll gain leadership skills, explore future career paths, connect with mentors and join a national movement to increase diversity in agriculture and STEM. Whether you’re interested in science, animals, the environment, technology, or simply curious about what’s possible, you belong here.

Junior MANRRS members participate in hands-on learning experiences, workshops, local and national events, community service and mentorship activities that prepare them for success in high school, college, and beyond. 

As a member, you’ll get to:  

• Try hands-on science and tech activities that show you how agriculture connects to the world around you 

• Learn about careers in food, animals, climate, health and engineering that actually matter (and pay well!) 

• Meet people, from high schoolers to college students to professionals, who are doing inspiring work 

• Join leadership and speaking competitions, go to conferences, or even travel 

• Build your confidence and your voice, because you don’t have to wait until college to start making a difference 

Yes! You can join as an independent student member or even start a chapter at your school or in your local community. We also offer virtual programming and national resources to help you stay connected and grow, no matter where you are. 

You’ll build a strong foundation in leadership, career opportunities and networking. You’ll also gain early exposure to college and career options, with access to scholarships and guidance from students and professionals who share your goals. 

Not at all! MANRRS is for students from all backgrounds who are interested in science, the environment, food systems, community development or just making the world better through innovation and inclusion. 

Agriculture isn’t just about farms! It’s the reason why we have food, fashion, fuel, technology, and the future of the planet. It’s how we feed people, protect the environment, and solve big problems like climate change and hunger.
