BASF Seeks Agronomic Area Sales Manager
Position Title: 

Agronomic Area Sales Manager
Western Minnesota - Eastern North Dakota (Remote)

 

Position Summary:

At BASF, the world’s leading chemical company, you will be responsible for leading the retail and grower focused resources within their geography, inclusive of managing both direct reports and influencing indirect reports. You will also be responsible for the defined financial performance in your assigned district.

Formula for Success
  • Leveraging your Bachelors Degree and experience in Sales and/or Marketing, you will manage sales, people development and customer engagement targets within your geography.

 

  • Managing a team of sales professionals, you will achieve targets by leading your team in translating and deploying the national marketing strategy/messages into sales execution plans for their local area(s), while acting as an advocate for BASF & the agriculture industry.

 

  • As a role model, you will promote staff engagement, cultural values and embrace the use of data beyond sales figures as key characteristics of a successful field sales staff.

  • Your strong leadership ability will be a valued asset as you establish and cultivate a culture of high performance that seeks continuous improvement, and which embraces the need for practice & constant communication.

  • Successfully engaging inside and outside the organization, you will act as a key spokesperson for BASF’s internal and external communications with employees, customers and the marketplace.

  • Your valuable selling, negotiation, and analytical skills will be essential as you assign sales targets to Business Representatives and coach them to achieve their assigned sales targets.

  • Your strong business acumen will help you to bring constructive input and feedback regarding processes, needed investments and proactively engage in cross-district exchanges aimed at speeding the delivery of best practices and deployment of new tactics or ideas.
