This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility machinery. |

Job Responsibilities
Safety/Health Maintenance Mechanics are required to work safely, follow all safety rules and procedures, attend all safety meetings, report unsafe conditions to Leaders at once, and keep all tools and equipment in safe working condition. They will also be encouraged to read and ask questions about safety materials such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Job Safety Information (JSI), and know where to find them. Additionally, Mechanics will need to maintain clean and orderly work areas and offer suggestions and seek answers concerning safety issues. Work Environment Working conditions are normal for a chemical manufacturing environment. Candidate must be comfortable working around chemicals such as Herbicides and Insecticides. Work involves stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching overhead, and lifting of materials up to 50 pounds. Will be required to climb ladders and stairs and perform work in and on elevated areas such as roofs and dust collectors. Ability to work outdoors in adverse conditions as necessary. Machinery and tool operation require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to, safety goggles, respirators, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats. |
