This is entry level conservation planning work, with opportunity for promotion. Successful candidates will learn to: plan and promote conservation programs; inventory and evaluate practices to reduce soil erosion and improve water quality by performing onsite evaluations; and develop/revise and deliver conservation plans for the cooperator or landowner to meet farming operation needs and promote the wise use of natural resources.

This is intermediate level technician work, with opportunity for promotion. Technical work involves survey, design, layout, and construction check of soil and water conservation projects and systems that meet established standards, specifications and guidelines of the USDA, NRCS or other approved entities. Work is accomplished in conjunction with the Landowner or operator.
