Position Title: 

Manager of Innovation and Sustainability

 

Position Summary:
International market development organization based in Washington, D.C. is recruiting a manager of innovation and sustainability for its Washington, D.C. office. This position works closely with the director of trade policy to develop and implement creative and effective worldwide initiatives to advance U.S. grains in the context of sustainability. Implement and oversee the Council’s sustainability initiatives as directed, including implementing and maintaining Corn Sustainability Assurance Protocol (CSAP). This position is based in Washington, D.C.

Desired Qualifications

Minimum requirement is a bachelor’s degree in the fields of sustainability, economics, agriculture and/or food systems. Three years’ experience in sustainability, international agriculture and/or development policy issues is required, as is experience in public speaking. Ideal candidate will be detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and possess strong oral and written communication skills. Domestic and international travel are required of this position.

organizational potential. Must be a team player with exceptional collaboration and
communication skills with strong skills in prioritizing and decision making. Must also be able to quickly pivot and adapt as the organization’s strategic direction evolves.
