University of Vermont Seeks Senior Program Manager
Position Title: 

Senior Project Manager of Strategic Initiatives

 

Position Summary:
 

The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Dean’s Office is seeking a Senior Project Manager of Strategic Initiatives to manage and provide leadership in facilitating specialized implementation and analysis relative to CALS strategic plan. The successful candidate will utilize comprehensive subject matter expertise to assess metrics for strategic plan and assess progress and oversee Higher Education and Student Affairs (HESA) MS students to assist with this work. Further responsibilities will include: coordination, oversight and development of high-priority projects from conception through implementation to measured outcomes; supporting implementation of college-wide strategic goals in research, outreach, student success, and diversity, equity and inclusion via expert, creative, and data-driven approaches; active engagement in learning and practice of principles of social justice and inclusion; and delivering excellent stakeholder experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or related area and five to six years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience which may include a master’s degree. Effective organizational and analytical skills, including competency navigating complex data management systems. Experience providing functional and/or administrative direction and leadership to various project teams. Experience in planning and project management required. Demonstrated experience implementing strategic initiatives and priorities required. Extensive experience with data extraction and reporting from databases, as well as PC applications and spreadsheets. Ability to assimilate information quickly and communicate data to multiple constituents with various levels of data acumen. Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with partners. Demonstrated experience and proficiency in cultural competencies required.

Familiarity with undergraduate and graduate curriculum and non-degree programs, issues around diversity in higher education, previous experience with implementing strategic plans and measuring outcomes are highly desirable.
