Employee Volunteerism and Giving Specialist
Location: Inver Grove Heights, MN
Position Overview: 
The Employee Volunteerism and Giving Specialist is responsible for leading community engagement with employees to demonstrate the company’s commitment to the communities where it does business.
The CHS Stewardship team leads the company’s philanthropic commitment to the communities where our employees and owners live and work. Funded by charitable gifts from CHS, the CHS Foundation stewards an endowment of $40M focused on developing a new generation of ag leaders for lifelong success. In addition, CHS invests corporate dollars each year through CHS Community Giving, which supports programs that strengthen our hometown communities through financial giving and employee volunteerism. The CHS Foundation and CHS Community Giving together comprise CHS Stewardship, with a combined operating budget of approximately $6M annually.

Employee Giving
• Develop and execute strategic employee giving programs across the CHS footprint, including the annual Giving Campaign each fall and Harvest for Hunger each spring.
• Lead all Giving Campaign-related activities from serving as campaign liaison to providing planning committee guidance and strategic direction
• Select and assist in planning fundraising activities.
• Oversee Your Cause CSR connect software system for giving and volunteerism including: increasing employee use, pulling engagement reports, and updating branding to drive engagement with outlying and headquarters employees.
Employee Volunteerism
• Increase enterprise-wide employee volunteerism by identifying volunteer opportunities for a variety of CHS groups
planning and executing 3-5 opportunities to engage 150+ employees throughout the year
• Coordinating details of smaller volunteer events. Build towards a culture of year-round employee volunteerism.
• Execute system-wide CHS Spirit of Service Days volunteer weeks each summer, including leading planning committee for headquarters and outlying locations.
• Work closely with Senior Director to administer the Employee Board Service plan for intentional nonprofit board placement and financial support.
• Build and manage Volunteer Grants program.
• Collaborate across the Stewardship department on grantmaking programs.
• Participate in the monthly grant review committee, contributing to overall partnership with key grantees and grant programs.
• Lead Backyard Grants program and related engagement with Employee Council, Mozaiko, and other ERGs.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
