Position Title

Assistant Vice President, Compliance and Financial Reporting

 
Position Summary


The AVP, Compliance and Financial Reporting will help manage the Association’s overall Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) and compliance processes. Position will also have primary responsibility for quarterly and annual financial statement preparation and coordination of various internal and external audits. The employee will work closely with members of the Finance, Operations, Credit, and Internal Audit teams to achieve these goals. The position will work with management to identify, design and document internal controls required to mitigate financial reporting risk and maintain a
sound internal control environment. The position will provide support for internal control projects, monitoring, reporting, and testing protocols required for a full attestation of Internal Controls over Financial Reporting by an independent auditor. The incumbent will monitor GAAP and regulatory developments to support external reporting and implementation of new controls as needed. Regular communication with management, control process owners and internal and external auditors.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA/BS degree with emphasis on accounting, finance or business.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or candidate.
• At least five years accounting experience including areas of internal control compliance, Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404, audit, external financial reporting, GAAP accounting, or equivalent.
• Must possess good project management skills; ability to collaborate and communicate across the Association; exceptional listening, verbal and written communication; sound decision making; and creative problem solving.
• Must be advanced in Excel and proficient in Windows including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.


GRADE/SALARY/BENEFITS:

Depending on experience.
