YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Business Architect, are to:
- Be accountable for eliciting requirements from stakeholders, journey mapping, capability mapping, documenting processes, creating functional and technical specifications, testing configurations, and performing training and launch activities;
- Work on journey mapping and capability mapping;
- Drive requirement gathering sessions to define and develop project milestones;
- Work on document requirements – both process diagram workflows and data flow documentation;
- Collaborate with the business stakeholders to understand the business value of the new projects requested for delivery;
- Collaborate with business partners to understand business value of the new data systems and data solutions projects;
- Be responsible for providing application software development services or technical support.
Candidates at other US Bayer locations may be considered based upon the location and needs of the business.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree OR Master's degree in biology, biochemistry, genetics, agriculture, engineering, computational biology, or related technical field with at least seven years of relevant experience;
- At least seven years of relevant IT experience with experience in agile software development;
- Highly skilled in the creation of business process maps from a user interface and data flow perspective;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstration of building strong business relationships and influencing capabilities at all levels of an organization;
- Ability to see the connections/opportunities in business areas;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Domain knowledge in lab work/processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Bayer enterprise IT systems;
- Knowledge in Lab Information Management Systems;
- Work experience in scientific discipline (Biology, Biochemistry, etc.;
- Work experience in Supply Chain (Logistics, Planning, Manufacturing, or related area);
- Experience working as a Functional, Data, or Business Analyst;
- Experience in Access, Excel (Advanced), and Visio;
- Customer interfacing experience – project oversight, customer presentation, etc.
