Position Overview
We are seeking applicants for a 9-month, full-time tenure-track position in Global Livestock Sustainability at the assistant/ early associate professor level. The successful candidate’s research initiatives may include identifying strategies to enhance the efficiency of meat, milk, or fiber production from livestock systems to promote the livelihood, health, and nutrition in domestic and global communities, while reducing negative environmental impacts, and other innovative ideas. The candidate is encouraged to seek collaboration with leading faculty in the Department of Animal Science that focuses on nutrition, enteric methane mitigation, reproductive management, and animal systems analyses.

Department Affiliation: The successful candidate will be a tenure-line faculty member of the Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and will be based in the Department of Animal Science.
Qualifications
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Animal Science or a related field and livestock expertise, with particular interest in beef and/or small ruminant systems. A commitment to research and teaching in the Animal Science undergraduate major and to the development of multidisciplinary team-based research and training programs is essential.

Assistant Professor: $79,400 - $135,000 Associate Professor: $97,500 - $148,500
