Assistant Director Mexico

 

Position Summary:
International market development organization based in Washington, D.C. is recruiting an assistant director for its Mexico City, Mexico office. This position works closely with the Director to plan, coordinate and execute the Council’s programs in the Mexico including, but not limited to, marketing, trade servicing and government relations programs. This position will contribute to the formulation of a strategic plan for increasing sales of corn, barley, sorghum and their co-products into the region. This position is based in Mexico City, Mexico.

Desired Qualifications

Minimum requirement is a bachelor’s degree with preference given to those holding a degree in agriculturally related field including agricultural economics, economics, finance or a related field. Experience working with grain trade or marketing, international ag trade policy or feed and livestock sector is required. Experience in presenting marketing and/or grain trade information is preferred. Ideal candidate will be detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and possess strong oral and written communication skills. International travel within and beyond the region is required of this position.

communication skills with strong skills in prioritizing and decision making. Must also be able to quickly pivot and adapt as the organization’s strategic direction evolves.
