Position Title: 

Manager of Global Trade

 

Position Summary:
International market development organization based in Washington, D.C. is recruiting a manager of Global Trade for its Washington, D.C. office. This position is responsible for providing trade servicing expertise related to the international grain trade, strengthening relationships with U.S. and global grain trade members while servicing the export marketing interests of specific commodity groups among membership of the organization. The individual in this position will develop and maintain contacts with U.S. and international grain traders to keep abreast of trade developments around the world that affect U.S. grain producers and exporters. This position is based in Washington, D.C. and international travel is required.

Desired Qualifications

Minimum requirement is a bachelor’s degree in economics, agricultural economics, international relations, marketing or similar field. Prior experience in public speaking is required. Prior experience in grain trading with emphasis on international trade will be preferred. The preferred candidate will also have experience working in a multi-cultural, international environment.

organizational potential. Must be a team player with exceptional collaboration and
communication skills with strong skills in prioritizing and decision making. Must also be able to quickly pivot and adapt as the organization’s strategic direction evolves.
