Starting a professional membership chapter is an opportunity to shape a community that reflects your interests, values, and goals within the agriculture, natural resources, and related sciences industries.
As a chapter founder, you’ll be free to design events, activities, and initiatives that truly serve your network — while receiving full support, guidance, and resources from the national organization. It’s a meaningful way to invest in your career, build leadership experience, and create lasting connections with like-minded professionals who understand your industry. Plus, once established, your chapter becomes a built-in source of encouragement, collaboration, and growth.
Build the Chapter You’ve Always Wanted to Join
Here, you can lead locally and connect nationally. Professional chapters are region-specific and composed of professional MANRRS members seeking to connect with other industry leaders locally through events, networking, and other professional growth opportunities.
Failure to meet these requirements may result in the denial of the charter application unless an exception has been granted by the Executive Board of the National Society of MANRRS.
Establish a minimum of ten active members inclusive of an executive committee:
- President
- President-Elect/Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer or Secretary/Treasurer
- Parliamentarian
Verify all charter members have active, financial MANRRS professional memberships by emailing alumni.cmte@manrrs.org. If anyone is not active, they must register to become a chapter member.
Ensure all members are in good standing (i.e. have an active/financial professional membership) with the National Society of MANRRS.
Ensure your chapter is inclusive of MANRRS alumni and non-alumni professionals from industry, government, academia, non-profit, and the like.
Verify members are not an affiliate of an academic institution, company, or organization. As stated, professional chapters are specific to geographic locations.
Pay the chapter fee of $125 within 30 days of being invoiced by the MANRRS National Office.

2. Review the follow-up email for more details and further instructions.
3. After receiving a follow-up email and taking the necessary steps to establish your chapter, you will then complete the chapter application form.
- Chapter advisor(s), officers, and bylaws will be required to complete this form.
- Those interested in starting a Junior MANRRS chapter will receive next steps from the National Office. (exec.office@manrrs.org)
