Corporate Engagement Director - Food & Water
Position Summary
The world faces twin crises of climate change and biodiversity loss- addressing both is critical to achieving TNC’s mission. This is a tremendous opportunity to achieve transformational outcomes by partnering with the private sector. The Corporate Engagement Director – Food & Water develops and implements a strategic framework to engage and influence companies around food, agriculture, fisheries, and water initiatives.
Duties include strategy development, staff management, regular contact with corporate representatives, and fundraising to increase financial support for TNC projects and priorities.
Ideal candidates will have experience managing staff, overseeing private sector strategy development, fundraising, and building relationships with corporate partners. Must be grounded in equity and justice, and willing to learn.
Location for the position is flexible (must accommodate Eastern Standard Time), but DC metro area is preferred. They will report to the Managing Director, Corporate Engagement.

Impact Finance and Markets is the Nature Conservancy’s newly created division that will oversee and accelerate our work in impact investing, carbon markets and the growing work partnering with corporations to deliver on TNC’s 2030 goals. This division brings together pre-existing teams to form a globally dispersed staff of 60 to provide the organization with leadership, strategic guidance and partnership in conservation finance, commercial market development and corporate practices and supply chains in key sectors.
